Shooting sports are really fun and can help you get prepared for hunting season. Always follow proper gun safety and abide by the rules. You can go shooting at the Sanpete County Shooting Range just south of Manti. See map below for directions. The range has target walls at various lengths including 100, 200, 250, 300, 400, and 500 yards. There are some tables available for use and the range is free to use.
For those wanting to shoot in different locations, the Manti-La Sal National Forest allows shooting as long as you obay the rules. Shooting is not allowed within 150 Yards of campsites, roads, or lakes and you must also adhere to current fire restrictions. You are not allowed to shoot glass, use exploding targets, or exploding rounds. So be safe and have fun.
